Designed by Old Tom Morris around 1850, Dunbar East Links situated on the estuary of the Firth of Forth, is a breathtaking layout of a Championship links course that stretches across 6404 yards of coastal terrain.

All of the major Scottish Championships have been played here, The Scottish Amateur, Professional Championship and Scottish Boys' Championship. It has been used as an Open qualifier on several occasions in the past.
Summer or winter, playing the links course on the shores of the North Sea is a very special experience for any keen golfer. Situated on a narrow strip of land which follow the contours of a rocky exposed beach, bordered on the other side by the Old Deer Park wall making it a challenging course for all levels of players.

Well defined holes following the natural contours of the coastline. Being by the sea shore naturally means that the wind plays a main factor with the course itself, a light breeze can transform this course into a serious challenge, producing a new playing experience with every round.

Renowned for its friendly welcoming atmosphere, playing at Dunbar East Links is an experience that is not soon forgotten, offering all year round golf. This is a classic links golf course, with outstanding views over the Firth of Forth, May Island and towards the distant outline of Fife. Dunbar East Links is on the eastern edge of Dunbar, lying within the county of East Lothian which is historically known as the "Cradle of Golf".
