From M6 junction 27:
Follow signs for Standish
Drive along short stretch of dual carriageway and turn left at top.
Continue along this road for approx. 1.5 miles to traffic lights in centre of Standish.
Keep in left-hand lane at lights to drive straight across
Continue through traffic lights past church on right.
Golf club is approx. 0.5 miles on the right after the church.
Travelling north/south on A49:
Continue up A49 toward traffic lights in centre of Standish.
Northbound: Right turn is just before the traffic lights (signposted).
No right turn is allowed at the lights themselves.
If you have driven through the lights there is an opportunity to turn right immediately after the lights, opposite the supermarket car park.
Southbound: Turn left just before traffic lights opposite supermarket car park (diagonal road).
From M61 junction 6:
Leave motorway and follow signs for the A6.
At the roundabout on the A6, follow signs for Westhoughton (bear left).
After 1/4 mile, turn right at lights onto the B5239, signposted Wigan/Haigh.
Continue for approx. 2 miles via a mini roundabout (next to church).
When you reach the double roundabout, turn right at the 1st roundabout and then take the first left at the 2nd roundabout (signposted Haigh).
Follow road for approx. 2 miles (over humpback bridge with traffic lights).
Continue until you reach a mini roundabout at the bottom of the hill and turn right.
Turn left at the next roundabout after approx. 150 yards.
After going underneath railway bridge (through traffic lights), the course is approximately 1/4 mile on the left. Take breathtaking Lancashire countryside, extensive native woodland belts, complemented by scenic views of the Pennines. Add 18 holes of golf, 9 in parkland, 9 in woodland, with strategically positioned bunkers, trees and natural water features.
Mix in an excellent modern clubhouse, run on a friendly and welcoming basis and you have the recipe for Standish Court - a modern golf club with a distinctive difference.
The 18 holes of golf, designed by Tyton Design, provide one of the more intriguing rounds of golf in the region and create a challenging test of golf for the low handicapper and an enjoyable game for the high handicapper.
