1. A64 to York.
2. Ring road (A64) towards Scarborough.
3. Stay on A64 Ring road towards Scarborough.
4. Roundabout signed A1237/A64 take first left (A1237).
5. 100 yard roundabout turn right (A1237).
6. 2nd roundabout turn right Earswick/Strensall.
NOTE: please ignore the sign for Golf Range which you will see around a mile or so along this road as this is not a sign for the Club and you should stay on the road and continue forward.
7. Approx 2 miles Six Bells pub on the left, carry straight on.
8. Follow road for another 1 mile, golf sign turn left, clubhouse on the right, turn right into car park.

In the early days the course was very open, now the fairways on the 6301 yards course are tree lined but the flat course retains its natural heathland and heather heritage and provides plenty of variety and challenge for the high and low handicapper alike.

The Club hosts many County and York Union events and stages one of Yorkshire's premier 36 hole amateur competitions, The York Rose Bowl.

The Club offers good Clubhouse facilities and "all in" golf and catering packages are available as well as separate a la carte menus.

York Golf Club welcomes around 5000 visitors each year and our facilities are enjoyed by many Societies and Corporate parties.

History York's oldest golf club was formed in 1890 and moved to Strensall in 1904 where the course was designed by J.H. Taylor.
